Viva Comedy with Alex Reymundo
Date/TimeThursday, August 1 at 8 PM
Comedian Alex Reymundo emerged on the national scene on The Original Latin Kings of Comedy alongside Paul Rodriguez, Cheech Marin, George Lopez & Joey Medina and was featured in P. Diddy’s Bad Boys of Comedy. His hit one-hour specials Red-Nexican & ALMA Award-winning Hick-Spanic have aired on Showtime, Comedy Central & NETFLIX prove his appeal to a wide audience. Today, Reymundo can be seen across the nation touring alone or with ol’ friend & blue collar bad boy, Ron White.
Alex’s exposure to LIVE standup began in Arlington, TX in 1988. Reymundo proudly boasts about serving Ron White Tequila & a Budweiser right before he hit the stage on Tatersalad’s amateur comedy debut, and the two Texas comics traveled the nation together for the first few years of their early careers.
Five years of gigging throughout the Midwest led Reymundo to Los Angeles where he discovered an exploding Latino comedy scene. It wasn’t long before Alex was touring with Paul Rodriguez. The timing was right, and Alex made his film debut on The Original Latin Kings of Comedy, followed by the Bad Boys of Comedy showcase on HBO, and two one-hour comedy specials, Hick-Spanic & Red-Nexican. Reymundo was seen by 6 million viewers on CMT in 2011 in Ron White’s Salute to the Troops. His thirty year standup career has widened his skills in three films, Permanent Vacation, The Movement & El Matador, as well as voiceover work for many companies and Disney’s animated film, Cars.
