Herb Alpert and Lani Hall

by Josh James
June 14, 2024

Music icon Herb Alpert, his GRAMMY® winning vocalist wife Lani Hall, and their incredible band perform an eclectic mix of American standards, Brazilian jazz, some Beatles, classic Tijuana Brass and Brazil ’66 songs, as well as many surprises. The show also features a giant video screen that displays hundreds of classic photos, videos and various memorabilia from Herb and Lani’s music careers.

Herb’s 49th studio album Wish Upon A Star, released in 2023, reached #1 on the Billboard Contemporary Jazz chart. And Lani’s most recent album, Seasons of Love – which reflects the depth of Lani and Herb’s 50 years as marriage partners and artistic collaborators – reached the top 10 on the Contemporary Jazz Album chart.

Herb is celebrating his 62nd year since recording his first hit song, “The Lonely Bull” in 1962. After 57 years as the only artist to have four albums in the top 10 charts at one time, the legendary trumpeter welcomed Taylor Swift in late July, 2023 to the record books as the only other living artist to reach that milestone.

Through the Herb Alpert Foundation, Herb and Lani have dedicated their lives to philanthropy, funding programs that help bring creativity to young students and keep creativity alive for all the arts, for artists young and old, including jazz education and programs that teach compassion and wellbeing.
