Santa Barbara Transgender Advocacy Network presents

Hearts on Fire Fashion Show

with Song and Dance

Saturday, April 7 at 7:00pm

Lobero Theatre

Santa Barbara embraces the third year of Transgender Day Of Visibility with an event that will richen your awareness and set your heart on fire. The “Hearts On Fire Fashion Show” celebrates gender diversity in our community by showcasing talented local performers coming together to provide a valuable message through song, dance, and a dazzling array of fashion.

Local Transgender Hero and 2017 Queen of Pride Deja Rea will host, and Santa Barbara’s award winning best DJ Darla Bea will deliver the finest tunes. Area boutiques including Sirena, Loveworn, Indian Summers, Love Bird, and Mission Tuxedos will be presenting their finest apparel, and Los Angeles designers Angelina Versage and Moiises Aguirre will showcase their glamorous and elegant spring gowns. Ian Harvie, a transgender Comedian/Actor (“Transparent”), will make a special appearance to share his personal story of being a transman in today’s society.

Transgender Day of Visibility was founded by Michigan Transgender Activist Rachel Crandall in 2009 to celebrate transgender people with advance awareness of their lives and contributions, and is celebrated in March all around the world.

The Santa Barbara Transgender Advocacy Network provides education for organizations on best practices for transgender and gender expansive clients, patients, students, congregants and families; creates and develops spaces, actions, and policies that advance the welfare of transgender and diverse gender non-conforming individuals, their families, and allies in California’s central coast communities.
