The Hallelujah Project 8
Sunday, December 11, 2022 at 3 PM
About the Event
A perennial holiday favorite, The Choral Society’s Hallelujah Project is a concert that delights young and old! Beloved carols, a visit from Santa, a reading of “’Twas The Night Before Christmas” and the Hallelujah Chorus from Handel’s Messiah headline an audience-friendly program that includes a guest appearance of children from The Music Academy’s SING! Program. Reading the Christmas story this year will be Scott Reed, President and Chief Executive Officer of The Music Academy. And Santa – well, he will swoop in just in time for the end of the story, and will hand out candy canes to good little boys and girls after the concert.
Following on the heels of its participation in the Santa Barbara Symphony’s production of Carmina Burana (October 15/16), The Hallelujah Project is the first concert of The Choral Society’s celebratory 75th Anniversary. This season also marks Artistic Director/Conductor Jo Anne Wasserman’s 30th year with The Choral Society.
