Heralded as “…a prestigious group of young, talented musicians…” by Santa Barbara SEASONS magazine, the Santa Barbara Youth Symphony brings together 50 gifted musicians, ages 12-18, from Santa Barbara and Ventura counties to perform works across the orchestral repertoire. This advanced ensemble teaches the skills and instills the discipline that budding young musicians need for the next step in their careers, whether in music or another field.
The Santa Barbara Symphony continues to enjoy its strategic partnership with Westmont College. Through the expertise of new Youth Symphony Music Director/Conductor and Westmont faculty member Dr. Daniel Gee and the overarching artistic oversight of The Symphony’s Music & Artistic Director, Nir Kabaretti, the partnership brings additional resources to our music education program as well as new learning opportunities for our students.
Please join us, we hope to see you there!
