Lobero Theatre eagle detail

Work With Us

Established in 1938, the Lobero Theatre Foundation has a stewardship role to maintain and operate the historic Lobero Theatre as a performing arts center and cultural asset to the Santa Barbara community, and to present the highest quality productions in music, dance and theatre.

The Lobero serves the needs of our more than 50,000 annual audience members as well as the artists who use the theater. The Lobero stage hosts more than 20 local performing arts producers, schools, and presenters, including the Flamenco Arts Festival, CAMA, AHA! Santa Barbara, Opera Santa Barbara,, State Street Ballet, Santa Barbara Youth Symphony and more.

In addition to operating the venue for the community’s use, the Lobero presents 30+ performances annually through our Lobero LIVE series in order to enhance the performing arts offerings available to local audiences. We also provide a diverse array of performing arts education opportunities to local youth.

Compensation and Benefits

Lobero Theatre Foundation offers a competitive compensation package commensurate with experience and a comprehensive suite of benefits, including paid time off, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and flexible spending account, all of which are 100% employer-covered. The company also offers a 403(b) program with employer matched contributions.

Equal Employment Opportunity

The Lobero Theatre is an Equal Opportunity Employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, age, protected veteran status or other protected status under state or federal law.

Transparency in US Health Coverage

Under the Transparency in Coverage Rule, issued in 2020 by the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services, U.S. Department of Labor and U.S. Department of the Treasury and enforced from July 1, 2022, health plans (which includes clients who sponsor employee benefit plans) and health insurance issuers must publish two separate machine-readable files (MRFs).

This link leads to the machine-readable files that are made available in response to the federal Transparency in Coverage Rule and includes negotiated service rates and out-of-network allowed amounts between health plans and healthcare providers. The machine readable files are formatted to allow researchers, regulators, and application developers to more easily access and analyze data.
